GTMS SPEAKERS BUREAU:

Eighteenth Century Taverns

As Ben Franklin put it: "If God had intended man to drink water, He would not have made him with an elbow capable of raising a wine glass."

Eighteenth Century Taverns were not simply bars or restaurants like what you see today. Taverns were an important part of the community including serving as information centers. Enjoy learning about how our Fore Fathers met and enjoyed one of their favorite pastimes: conversation.Gadsby’s Tavern Museum Society Speakers Bureau
